Sam & Brent

Football is back
For all those that feared football would not return this season, I am happy to report that it is back in full swing. On Sunday, September 11, 2011, the NFL not only started it’s season but gave great honor to those killed in the World Trade Center, The Pentagon and Penneslyvania. It was amazing to see how many people came to honor them and the tribute that was given.
The Rams lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 31-13. It was a tough way to start the season but it was great to see all of the fans come out and support them. Check out the game here. The Rams will take on the Giants this Sunday and then come back home to take on the Ravens.

As the season starts, the Rams are finding a tough start. Sunday’s game was disappointing and heartbreaking to watch. Also a congrats to Mike Jones who was honored as the day’s legend on the field. Check out the Pink game on October 2, 2011. Click here to see the photos.

This young women presented herself with poise and grace while still being salutatorian. Soccer to Snow
Girls Soccer season is finally here. I love shooting soccer. My first game of the year was the start of the St. Pius season. The girls defeated Lutheran South 4-1. What a great start to a season. Click here to see the photos.

Basketball Comes to an end
As it goes all good things must come to an end. Last week the St. Pius Lancers ended their basketball seasons during the District Tournament. Although the Lancers played as well as they could, they did not pull out a win to continue the season. I would like to congratulate all of the teams on a great and exciting season and I can’t wait till next year. Listed below are some of the games from the end of the season.

Honors and Records
On February 14, 2011 parents, friends, students and fans joined to honor three outstanding Seniors. Amanda Held, Domonic Mosier and Melissa Collins shined on the court helping the Lancers defeat Valley High School. They are a great example of leadership and sportsmanship on and off the court. I was so happy to be there that night and share it with them.
A special Congratulations for Melissa Collins who broke the All Time Scoring Record for St. Pius X. I was thrilled to be asked by her parents to see her break the record and can’t wait to see how far she will take it. Congrats to all of the seniors and their families.
